Today, as Americans, we celebrate the adoption of the Declaration of Independence and our independence from Great Britain. But as Christians, may we also celebrate our independence. According to Mr. Webster, independence is the "quality or state of being"......"not influenced or controlled by others; not depending upon something else; not relying on another for aid or support; not subject to another's authority or jurisdiction".John 8:36 says, "If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed" .
Romans 8:2 says, "For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death."
Galatians 5:1 says, "Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage."
What a reason we have to rejoice!!!!!!! Praise the Lord that today and every day we may celebrate our freedom!!!!!!!!
