A Perfect Day for a Picnic

There aren't many things more delightful to a
child than the privilege of nourishing one's body
in the out of doors...

Never underestimate the power of a picnic! Some of my most favorite memories as a child are picnic memories. Whether we were traveling somewhere and Mom had packed a lunch (to save money-we rarely ate out)of ham sandwiches, bananas and a cookie or the ultimate dining experience-her fried chicken wrapped in foil and packed away in the cast iron dutch oven, getting tender while it steamed in it's own juices and ready for ample appetites after fishing all morning at the local fishing hole. There is just something about consuming food outside or somewhere different than the dining table. Any by the way-where'd ya find such cute kiddos? Proud Grahms of 6

I sure hope we aren't reduced to just visiting each other's blogs!!!!!

Don't let it happen!

I love baby buns too....

And that picnic looked like peace on earth!

Love you.
